I have discovered a number of tools and applications that can enhance learning at the K -12 level, and the class blog is one of the easy ones. Giving students an opportuntity to learn, collaborate and contribute via a dynamic web page seems so natural for young people.
I am eager to see what ideas you have for blogging in your classroom. Begin to think about the potential. Three things come to my mind right away. First, students can respond in their own unique ways to class goals or questions, linking resources to support their point of view. Second, students can learn and practice good communication skills. Finally, blogging can be motivational.
The days of the textbook are not yet gone, but information is moving faster and farther. A blog can get students in pace, and I am excited to blog about that topic.

Nice site! Technology is sweet
I'm stoked about using blogs in class...technology is fun!
I learned today that efficiency cannot come at the cost of quality in instruction.
I am excited to see what ideas people have about technology use for kinder and 1st grade
Although I have already had experience in my own education with some of the things we've covered, I've learned that because technology is dynamic, there are always new and useful ways to apply technology in the classroom.
Soon there will be no anonyminity in the world. We are all part of the Web.
I am interested to learn how to incorporate technology into a kindergarten classroom. I admit I am skeptical that all of the promises of technology this class proposes can be applied to a kindergarten classroom. But I'm open to new ideas.
I am interested in using technology in a classroom setting.
Technology should make learning quciker and more efficent, and always have a purpose. Never use technmology for technolgys sake only.
Tonight was pretty fun. I enjoyed learning how to create my own website and this class sounds like it's going to prepare me a lot for when I become a teacher in the future. I have tons to learn about using technology in the classroom and and very excited.
I am excited to learn how I can use technology in my future classroom. I especially like that we are learning how to create a website. I think my students will benefit from me being able to post announcements, homework, and solutions online.
I have never blogged before but I guess I can say whatever. Here we go: I am a freshman and I am very excited to be in this class it sort of funny because I have always wanted to be a teacher since forever, but I never would mention it to anyone so when I came to USF I was amazed by tjhe Dual Degree Program and what it has to offer. This class feels like I am that much closer to my hidden dream.
For some reason I have always been a believer in the less technology the better. I realize that this is not going to be the case and this class has started to show me exactly how technology can allow for students to become more efficient.
In my experiences I have seen that technology can have a positive and negative impact on education. For some techonology may pose some difficulties in the classroom. Not all students are familiar with certain technologies and can also be a distraction. I've seen many times when students just don't follow along. However technology also brings a new tool to education which can be good for the classroom.
It is exciting to see how technology can be used in the world of education. After the lecture tonight, I have already started thinking in ways that I can be more creative as a teacher in a technical aspect. Making websites, keeping files, grading, posting assignments and researching are some of the many way I can use computers to be a better teacher.
Blogging can be very useful for students who are nervous to speak in front of a class. These students have the opportunity here to practice putting their ideas out there for others to see.
